We’re looking for a Procurement Manager to join an innovative company (with excellent benefits!) based in Hook, Hampshire, who operate in the electronics sector.
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for the company’s supply chain and buying activities, playing a key part in ensuring the organisation's critical supplier relationships are appropriately managed.
This includes:
- Responsibility for all direct and indirect spending at the organisation.
- Responsibility for the companies supply chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) – quality, delivery and cost-saving/ avoidance etc.
- Establish and maintain inventory levels.
- Successful management of the Procurement team.
- Early involvement in the contract/ quotation stage to ensure successful delivery of products to our customers.
- Draw on relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity – including our Hong Kong office.
- Leads, evaluates and negotiates key supplier contracts.
- Supplier relationships and audits
- Adhere to the company’s policies and standards and ensure that laws and regulations are being followed.
About YOU!
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Proven people management abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills.
- Excellent decision-making skills.
- Commercial acumen.
- Significant industry experience, specifically with Far East suppliers.
- Thorough knowledge of company products and processes.
- Experience working in a Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME).
- A degree or equivalent and relevant professional qualifications.
