Daytime Healthcare are assisting a leading SEN residential school who are looking for a Learning & Care Support Assistant to join the team in Hook.

We are looking for dedicated individuals who are passionate about providing quality care and education, and will ensure that they are always promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the children.

Although previous experience within a similar setting would be beneficial, this role is also open to those with no experience who are looking for a new opportunity. 4 weeks of training is provided, and development and progression opportunities also available.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide the highest standards of care to the children and ensuring all their needs are met
  • Participate in all activities including swimming, walks, educational activities and trips out into the community
  • Support the children’s independence with household tasks and personal care
  • Attend mandatory training courses and other recommended training to support with own development
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, external professionals, and colleagues

Hours:

  • Between the hours of 7.30am - 10pm, including some weekends
  • Working on a 6-week rolling shift pattern, with longer and shorter weeks

There is also a minibus service which can offer pick ups for staff in Reading / Basingstoke for early AM & late PM shifts.
