Test Engineer
Salary: Up to £40,000 Bonus
Hours: Day shifts
Location: Hook
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and operate a range of advanced test equipment and systems
- Execute functional, environmental, and performance testing procedures
- Diagnose faults down to component level and implement effective corrective solutions
- Accurately document test results, anomalies, and resolution actions
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation
- Ensure test equipment is properly maintained and calibrated for optimal performance
- Work closely with engineering and quality teams to enhance product reliability
- Comply with all safety standards and operational protocols
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in electronics testing or engineering roles
- Demonstrated ability in fault diagnosis and component-level troubleshooting
- Industry background in SMT, aerospace, automotive, or electronics manufacturing
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and root cause analysis
- Experience with automated test platforms such as ICT and functional testers
- Familiarity with ISO standards or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous
