Job Title: Production Operator – Metals Manufacturing

Location: Wirral

Rate of Pay: Up to 30k per year

Temp to Perm – Immediate Start

Shift System 6am to 2pm & 2pm to 10pm.

                                Metal Making – Continental Shift Pattern

                                2 days from 7am to 7pm

                                2 nights from 7pm to 7am

                                4 days off

This is a continuous pattern and includes weekends plus public holidays.

To produce metal products in line with customer specifications using designated equipment within the manufacturing facility. The role involves ensuring traceability and quality of products, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and supporting the upkeep of manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate production machinery to manufacture metal products according to customer orders and specifications.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production schedules.
  • Ensure full traceability of materials and processes throughout the production cycle.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet required standards and report any non-conformance.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  • Clean work areas regularly and follow housekeeping standards to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Assist in the maintenance, inspection, and minor repair of equipment to ensure optimal working condition.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets and resolve production issues.
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferably metals or materials processing).
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate industrial machinery.
  • Understanding of quality control and traceability in a production setting.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Team player with effective communication skills.
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.

Full training will be given although the candidate must have experience in a manufacturing and production setting.
