Pearce Compaction Systems are manufacturers of Compactors & Balers for the waste and Recycling industry. We have a large customer base of machines we cover for servicing, repairs & breakdowns

We have an exciting role for an enthusiastic, bright, and capable Service Engineer.

We're looking for a quick learner who can absorb new ideas, communicate clearly and who also possesses a good team spirit and is deadline orientated.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Carrying out servicing on Compaction machinery.
  • Carrying out reported repairs on Compaction machinery.
  • Carrying out breakdown repairs when reported. This is where good fault-finding skill is preferable.
  • Install new Compaction machinery and deliver training on them
  • Completing all the correct documentation for all site visits.
  • Driving to customer sites as scheduled by the main office in Verwood.
  • Maintaining the vehicles cleanliness both inside & out.
  • Report any delays, accidents, incidents to the Operations Manager.
  • Delivering a professional & friendly service to all our customers.
  • Driving safely and courteously whilst obeying all traffic laws & regulations.
  • Reporting any mechanical problems of deficiencies with your vehicle.
  • Completing vehicle inspection including: diesel oil, water, oil, tyres, and lights.

Required Skills:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Worked with hydraulic systems
  • Good knowledge of electrics
  • Good fault-finding skills
  • Knowledge of MIG welding (not essential)
  • Ability to work on their own
  • Fork Lift Truck licence (Preferable)
  • Be able to stay away from home when required (not often)
  • Calmness under pressure
  • Initiative
  • Courteous
