Teaching Assistant - SEMH & SEND

Location: Horley
Contract: Full-time / Term-time

NextGen Teachers are recruiting a passionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH and SEND needs in a welcoming school.



Role Overview

  • Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups as a TA to boost engagement, progress, and independence.

  • Work with teachers, SENCO and other Teaching Assistants to deliver tailored learning.

  • Use positive behaviour management to create a calm, supportive environment.

  • Assist with planning, resources, and pupil welfare.

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and staff.



Requirements

  • Experience supporting children with SEMH / SEND.

  • Strong relationship management and communication skills.

  • Patient, empathetic, and reliable with a genuine passion for working as a TA in education.

  • Current enhanced DBS or the willingness to get one essential
