Our client is looking for a Transport Planner to join their growing team in Horley. This is an ideal role for someone who is organised, reliable & confident in planning & managing daily transport operations.What’s in it for you?
  • Monday to Friday with flexible shift times | 6am-3pm, 7am-4pm, 8am-5pm
  • £26,000 - £31,000pa DOE
  • 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays, with 3 days allocated for Christmas shutdown
  • Overtime available every other Saturday, paid at enhanced rates
  • Free onsite parking
  • Company Pension (contributory scheme)
The Role:This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for keeping things running smoothly & efficiently day-to-day.Key duties include:
  • Planning daily transport routes efficiently, to ensure the best use of time & resources
  • Working closely with engineers/drivers & internal teams to make sue schedules run to plan
  • Ensure compliance with driver hours & PL01 records are updated and filed
  • Dealing with any issues or delays as they arise & adjusting plans where needed
  • Building & maintaining good working relationships with both suppliers, customers
The Person:
  • Experienced in planning & optimising transport routes
  • Confident communicator who works well with others & can handle a busy environment
  • Well-organised with a good eye for detail and the ability to juggle tasks
  • A good understanding of transport rules and regulations
