We have an opportunity available for a Commercial Insurance Account Handler, to be based in Hornchurch, Essex.This offers an annual salary of £25,000 with an OTE of £30,000 plus you will receive a guaranteed commission for your settling in period for three months, plus benefits.Your benefits as the Commercial Insurance Account Handler include pension, 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays) with an increase every year worked and the option to buy up to five extra additional days of holiday per year. You will also receive an attendance bonus of £250 for full attendance over a six-month period, available twice per year, topping up your annual salary by an additional £500.As the Commercial Insurance Account Handler, you will be working for a Chartered Insurance Broker, who has been established for fifty years. They specialise in both business and personal insurance, and they offer a complete service to their clients. As the Commercial Insurance Account Handler, you will be driven by providing an outstanding service to customers and have a desire to achieve your targets, to achieve commission in a sales-based role. You will be responsible for providing a quality service to new and existing clients, covering all aspects of their commercial insurance arrangements including advising, arranging, and securing the appropriate cover at a competitive premium. This will include Company Motor Fleet Insurance, Taxi Insurance, Tradesmen Insurance, Public Liability insurance, Employers Liability insurance and Professional Indemnity insurance or Commercial Package Policies.Hybrid Working - Once you have completed your six-month probation period and all is going well, they are open to you working one day per week at home, once they are confident that this is working well, they are happy to increase this to two days working from home if desired. Unfortunately part-time, and remote working options are not available.This is a full-time, office-based position. The working hours are 40 hours per week over Monday to Friday between 8.30 am to 6.30 pm, for example from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm or 9.00 am to 6.00 pm or 9.30 am to 6.30 pm - as they like to offer flexibility to their employees. They are open as a business from 10 am to 4 pm on bank holidays, which is usually quiet, and you can choose to work this and catch up on your paperwork or choose to use annual leave.To be considered for the Commercial Insurance Account Handler, you will need…

  • 12 months experience within Commercial Insurance.
  • Knowledge of Company Motor Fleet Insurance, or Taxi Insurance, or Tradesmen Insurance, or Public Liability Insurance, or Employers Liability Insurance or Professional Indemnity Insurance or Commercial Package Policies.
  • To be Cert CII qualified, or to be working towards this, would be highly beneficial.
  • To have a clear telephone manner and strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel Outlook Email, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Open GI would be an advantage, but this is not essential.
  • To live within a reasonable distance of Hornchurch, Essex.
