Outreach Tutor (SEN Specialist - PMLD, Makaton & PECS Support)
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Prospero Teaching is seeking a compassionate and skilled Outreach Tutor to deliver bespoke 1:1 tuition to children and young people in Havering who are currently not accessing mainstream education. This role is focused on supporting pupils with complex Special Educational Needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and ideally with experience using Makaton and/or PECS.
You will work with learners across a range of ages and abilities, from Primary level up to GCSE, delivering tailored sessions that meet their individual learning and communication needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and wants to make a meaningful impact outside of the traditional classroom setting.
While a teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE) is desirable, it is not essential.
