Reed Accountancy are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to support our clients finance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Sage 50 and will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting both month-end and year-end financial procedures.
Day-to-day of the role:- Process and record day-to-day financial transactions using Sage 50.
- Maintain purchase and sales ledgers.
- Reconcile bank statements and company credit cards.
- Assist with VAT returns and other statutory filings.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding account queries.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team as required.
- Proven experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
- Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
