A specialist Engineering organisation based in Horsham are looking for a proactive and hands-on Site Fitter to join their team on a permanent basis. The role will involve supporting plant installation projects and carrying out essential maintenance and site preparation tasks. This is a varied and practical role suited to someone who enjoys working in different environments and problem-solving on the job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with plant and equipment installation on client sites
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on plant equipment
- Carry out tank cleaning and preparation to ensure safe operation
- Undertake site preparation works ahead of installation and servicing projects
- Apply and manage chemical treatment processes in line with safety guidelines
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, following company procedures and industry standards
What is required:
- Previous experience in a similar role (site fitter, plant operative, labourer etc)
- Practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel to different sites and occasionally work flexible hours
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
