Job Title: Mechanical & Electrical Site Manager Water (Contract)

Rate: up to 拢500 a day Umbrella/Limited
Overview:
A leading water and environmental infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Site Manager to support delivery of a wastewater treatment project at an organic waste processing facility in West Sussex. This is a contract role, suited to a site-based professional with strong experience across mechanical, electrical, and EICA installations within the utilities or water sector.
Role Summary:
Reporting to the UK Contracts Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing site-based M&E construction activities from planning through to commissioning. The role requires close coordination with internal teams, subcontractors, client stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure safe, compliant and efficient delivery of all works.
Key Responsibilities:
路Oversee mechanical, electrical and EICA installation works on site
路Manage construction programmes, planning, and scheduling of site activities
路Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, health & safety standards and site procedures
路Manage permit to work systems, including LOTO (lock out/tag out) protocols
路Maintain high standards of site welfare, safety, and quality documentation
路Coordinate and attend meetings with client, contractor and internal teams
路Conduct quality audits and ensure installation aligns with required British and ISO standards
路Prepare site documentation including method statements, RAMS, and inspection reports
Ideal Candidate Profile:
路HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering or related field (time-served experience also considered)
路Minimum 5 years' experience in M&E site management, ideally within the water sector
路Strong electrical background advantageous
路Valid CSCS card and SMSTS required (NEBOSH desirable)
路Excellent communication and team coordination skills
路Willingness to work site-based with occasional travel as required
