Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 16:00 PM (flexi start and finish)

Our client is a well-established and respected electrical repair workshop serving a diverse range of high-precision industries, including Aerospace, Defence and marine engineering, currently seeking to recruit Mechanical Technician to work for a very well establish business based in Horsham. The appropriate candidate will be responsible for disassembling, repairing, assembling, and testing mechanical components and will have pneumatic and hydraulics work experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble mechanical components to assess damage and identify repair requirements.
  • Determine appropriate materials and methods to be used during the repair process.  
  • Perform repairs according to approved Repair Instructions and Component Maintenance Manuals
  • Conduct functional testing of components, with a focus on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Reassemble components after repair or overhaul, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain and report operational data daily, weekly, and monthly as required.
  • Manage the calibration process for tools and equipment in accordance with quality standards

Requirements:

  • Proven hands-on experience with hydraulic systems and components.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic systems and testing protocols.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical repairs, material selection, and calibration processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Experience in a regulated industry (aviation, automotive, etc.) is preferred
