Reed Education are working on behalf of a primary school near Horsham who are looking for a Premises Manager to take a lead on all premises matters. This role is due to start mid-July due to retirement. The opportunity could be either temporary or permanent depending on the candidate.
The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to the below:
- Take responsibilities for the maintenance and upkeep of the premises, including heating, plumbing and security systems, fixtures, and fittings.
- Take the lead on risk assessments
- Organise a schedule of annual checks and keep an up to date log of records and certificates
- Removal of leaves, litter, ice, and snow
- Undertake of arrange preventative maintenance to eliminate potential hazards
- Complete repairs where possible or arrange for external contractors if not
- Fire officer
- General gardening duties
- Monitor external contractors
- Liaise with the providers of the on-site nursery and the pre and after school club
- Respond to emergency call outs
- Maintain storage areas
- Carry out any other reasonable requests as directed by the Headteacher or Business Manager
