Pineapple Careers is delighted to be working with a well-established, family-run renewable energy company in West Sussex to recruit a motivated Renewable Energy Trainee Fitter for a full-time, permanent position. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, this is an exciting opportunity to join a trusted team dedicated to delivering high-quality, sustainable energy solutions on a variety of domestic & commercial projects across Sussex.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in the installation of renewable energy systems, including solar PV, battery storage, heat pumps and EV charging solutions
  • Support experienced fitters, electricians and plumbers on-site at both residential and commercial properties
  • Up and down scaffolding, collecting tools and materials for the team
  • Help prepare tools, equipment and materials for each project
  • Always follow on-site health and safety procedures
  • Work confidently at height and in outdoor environments (full training provided)
  • Provide excellent service and communication to customers
  • Travel to various job sites across the region as part of a mobile team

What You Bring:

  • A genuine passion for sustainability and the renewable energy sector
  • A strong work ethic and enthusiasm to learn and grow within the business
  • Excellent teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills
  • A focus on quality, safety and customer satisfaction
  • Previous labouring or construction experience is advantageous

Personal Profile:

  • Physically fit and healthy - this is an active, hands-on role
  • Comfortable working at height and in all weather conditions
  • Keen to develop a long-term, practical career in renewable energy
  • A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential
  • Any relevant experience or qualifications in construction work would be an advantage

Salary & Benefits:

  • Depending on experience
  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Monday to Friday, 08.30 - 17.00
  • Internal & external training provided
  • 21 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
