Are you experienced in mechanical engineering? 

Attega Group is currently partnering exclusively with our client in recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to join the team.

The main purpose of this role is to repair, assemble, and test components, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £35,000 P/A pro rata, depending on experience, plus 22 days holiday (pro rata), rising to 25 days with length of service, on-site parking, company pension, and more!

This role is part-time and permanent. The hours of work will be 22.5 per week across three days. 

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Disassemble mechanical components to assess damage and identify repair requirements
  • Select appropriate materials and methods to be used to complete repairs
  • Conduct functional testing of components, with a focus on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Reassemble components after repair or overhaul
  • Maintain and report operational data daily, weekly, and monthly as required
  • Produce technical documentation in line with company guidelines
The ideal candidate:
  • Must have prior experience from an aviation environment (essential)
  • Will ideally hold a qualification in mechanical engineering (preferred)
  • Must have excellent understanding of mechanical systems, including pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Will need strong problem-solving skills
