PRODUCTION WORK:
My client in Foundry Lane, Horsham requires a number of Production Workers to help on their night-shift production line on an ongoing contract basis. (Short term contract are not available).

We are looking for reliable production workers with an eye for detail, to operate machinery and ovens, as well as testing the finished goods. You will join the SMT (Surface Mount Technology) team where all work is completed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and high quality standards.


Shift pattern: Sunday - Thursday shift. 10pm - 6am.
Pay: 15.26 per hour, plus holiday pay in addition.
The rate will increase to 15.81 per hour after 12 weeks' work.


** Please note: Training will be mandatory for 8-12 weeks before the night shifts commence. The training will take place Mon-Fri, either on the early shift (6am - 1.30pm) or on the afternoon shift (1.30pm - 9pm). During the training period, candidates will be paid the standard daytime pay rate of 12.21 per hour. Night shift pay is only payable once workers move to night shift working.



You will:

  • Create printed circuit boards (PCBs) according to SOPs and standard build times, following written manuals or on screen instructions
  • Use hand and power tools to assemble units
  • Mount components onto a printed electronic circuit board
  • Test and calibrate parts
  • Quality check work completed
  • Pack products once assembled
  • Maintain accurate records and follow safety protocols


Ideal candidate profile:
* You must be able to follow instructions accurately, have excellent hand-eye coordination & dexterity, and be able to read and speak English.
* Some machine operation experience or manual fine-detail assembly experience would be preferred.
* Experience in a similar role would be very beneficial.
* Familiar with APC (Advanced Process Control) / Manual Insertion.
* Physically able to undertake periods of standing, bending & light lifting throughout the shift.
* Happy to work as part of a small team & contribute to team goals.
* Full training provided.
* Candidates will need to provide their own safety shoes.

NB. All candidates must pass a drug screening test prior to starting.
