We have a vacancy to join our small friendly onsite Medical Centre team at Christ’s Hospital. The work includes caring for students in our in-patient unit, taking daily surgeries and being available to give health advice to the students.
Our school Medical Centre is operational 24 hours per day, 7 days a week during term time and generally staff work a mixture of day and night shifts on a rota basis. The successful candidate will work a shift pattern of up to 46 hours per week term time (33 weeks per year plus 2 weeks CPD) and will generally work 2 nights and 3 days a week (option of short or long days). There is some flexibility with the hours, and we are happy to consider part-time applications of a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Flexibility, good communication skills and the confidence to work unsupervised are essential. Applicants will ideally need to be a registered nurse (Adult or Child) with evidence of NMC Registration. However, we will also consider paramedics who can evidence suitable experience.
For applicants with the appropriate level of experience in a School Nurse role, there may be an available pathway to the role of Deputy Senior Nurse.
