Reed Education are working on behalf of a primary school near Horsham who are looking for a Premises Manager to take a lead on all premises matters. This role is due to start mid-July due to retirement. The opportunity could be either temporary or permanent depending on the candidate.

The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to the below:

  • Take responsibilities for the maintenance and upkeep of the premises, including heating, plumbing and security systems, fixtures, and fittings.
  • Take the lead on risk assessments
  • Organise a schedule of annual checks and keep an up to date log of records and certificates
  • Removal of leaves, litter, ice, and snow
  • Undertake of arrange preventative maintenance to eliminate potential hazards
  • Complete repairs where possible or arrange for external contractors if not
  • Fire officer
  • General gardening duties
  • Monitor external contractors
  • Liaise with the providers of the on-site nursery and the pre and after school club
  • Respond to emergency call outs
  • Maintain storage areas
  • Carry out any other reasonable requests as directed by the Headteacher or Business Manager

Please note, a DBS will be required for this role, however this can be arranged if you do not currently have one
