This is an incredibly unique and rewarding opportunity to drive a rapidly UK grown business that has recently expanded into Europe through cutting edge research and development of their products, processes and technical operations. Be the go to professional in a pivotal role which will ensure our client stays at the forefront of a booming industry through driving R&D and supporting industry first projects such as hydrogen, decarbonisation & sustainability. Heavy engineering, scientific and chemical composition experience is desirable and advantageous for the successful Manager and will position you well to succeed within this position.

This heavy building material manufacturer has successfully established 7 sites in the UK alongside another internationally making this a rapidly emerging SME who in addition has recently invested in a state of the art laboratory. As an innovation manager you will have the opportunity to work with the CEO and director of innovation & sustainability ensuring your ideas and initiatives are heard at the highest level. Outstanding opportunity to be recognised in the short term whilst working on industry first projects and taking on more responsibility in the long term as you get the opportunity to build and lead your own research & development team.

Your role as an Innovation Manager will include:

* Lead the development and implementation of new materials, processes, products & technologies

* Creative innovation through exploring new and established markets

* Client and strategy development

* Lab and site work

The successful Innovation Manager will need:

* PhD, Degree or extensive R&D experience

* Aggregate, Building Material, Ceramic, or material science background

* Ability to lead and drive new initiatives focused on delivery and ROI

* Opportunity mapping experience, risk assessment experience and commercial awareness
