We're looking for a talented Senior Sous Chef to join our award-winning, family-owned and operated freehold pub with rooms (offering no hot breakfast service) nestled in the heart of West Sussex. This is a wonderful opportunity to share responsibility and significantly contribute to our thriving catering operations.
You'll likely bring at least five years of experience in a similar role and will work closely with our current Head Chef and owner, covering days off and holidays. We offer flexible rotas, with the possibility of some weekends off.
Our fantastically equipped kitchen awaits the right candidate, and we offer a top salary package of £40,000 for a 40-hour week. Your typical days off will be Sunday nights, Mondays, and Tuesdays.
If you have a genuine passion for creating high-quality modern British pub-style food using fresh, local ingredients and possess a keen eye for detail both in the kitchen and on the plate, we'd love to hear from you.
This role also offers a unique opportunity to be involved in the initial stages of developing a distinct pub food offering brand, which we envision growing alongside our current establishment. For those with an entrepreneurial spirit and an interest in shaping a new culinary identity from the ground up on a trial basis, this could be a particularly rewarding aspect of the position.
We value excellent communication, leadership qualities, and a strong drive to succeed. You should be comfortable with food cost management, enjoy training others, and thrive under pressure.
