Supply Desk is currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Horsham, seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis. You will be teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, adapted to meet the needs of pupils with a range of learning differences.

The Role:

This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and support students with special educational needs in the field of Science. You will deliver engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, following a modified UK national curriculum designed to suit diverse learning abilities. Your teaching will focus on promoting hands-on learning, critical thinking, and building student confidence in a nurturing and structured environment.

  • Knowledge of differentiated teaching strategies and SEN best practices

  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills

  • A current, valid DBS (on the Update Service) or willingness to obtain one
