- Regular contact with people who access or need the service who may present challenging behaviours, and/or subject matter which may be distressing
- Undertake an initial review of all contact made to the local authority for a request for service for a child or young people and to make an initial recommendation utilising the West Sussex Levels of Need
- Manage an inbox with support from an Advanced Social Worker
- Triage incoming requests for support to ensure they are progressed to the most appropriate service
- Maintain accurate records and reports of all work undertaken
- Ability to analyse and interpret information in order to complete an initial assessment of the level of need identified
- Ability to work within a multi-agency setting through gathering and identifying information
- GCSE English and Maths (Grades 9-4, or A-C) or equivalent qualification
- Experience of providing advice and guidance to others
- Experience of working under pressure
- Experience and understanding of identifying a range of interventions in working with children and their families
