Key Responsibilities
- Sample Management: Collect, prepare, and test samples for analysis.
- Data & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all laboratory activities, equipment maintenance, and sample results.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all laboratory equipment and sensors are properly maintained, calibrated, and in good working order.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage reagents and consumables, anticipating and requesting upcoming purchases.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to strict health, safety, and welfare procedures and implement safety improvements in the laboratory area.
- Operational Support: Assist with process ramp-up, optimization, and various operational tasks for the commissioning team or other departments as assigned.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support by performing basic tests and presenting findings to senior staff.
- Technical Competency: A strong understanding of laboratory practices and equipment.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in record-keeping and data collection.
- Safety Awareness: A good understanding and commitment to safety protocols.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with a team of technicians and support other departments.
- Organisation: Good organizational skills for managing equipment and supplies.
