We are seeking a Level 2/3 Nursery Practitioner for a nursery providing care for children from 3 months to 5 years. The nursery practitioner should have a passion for fostering creative learning styles that challenge different children's way of thinking. The nursery focuses on nurturing children's natural desire to learn by building a strong foundation for a child's education The nursery practitioner should aim to supervise children and acquire to the health and safety requirements according to the organisations standards.Duties:

  • Support and encourage children to make their own choices, empowering them to be independent learners for when outside of preschool
  • Observe, analyse and create progress reports in relation to the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Respond to each child's emerging needs and interests via clear and concise communication
  • Encourage children to communicate daily through warm and positive interactions
  • Implement EYFS curriculum through engaging indoor and outdoor activities
  • Promote social time by interacting with other children during lunch and play breaks
  • Observe children's behaviour and progress when performing activities and report back to parents regarding any development and concerns
  • Support children's individual learning needs ad developmental milestones
  • Health and safety guidelines upheld regularly

Requirements:

  • A relevant Level 2/3 qualification
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of Early Years childcare experience
  • Confident verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to a dynamic, child-centred environment
  • Fully enhanced DBS
  • Up to date CV
  • Travelling distance to post code area
