Secondary Schoolbased in Isleworth

A small secondary school based in Isleworth, Hounslow are looking for a Teaching assistant who has a good understanding of SEN, to be able support children age 11-16 across core subjects. The Teaching assistant role starts in Sept, trials and interviews will be held in the coming weeks.

The school offer a fantastic enrichment programme for staff to be involved in, also homework and after school clubs. Parking available on site!

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Work with students on a 1:1 basis and in small group
  • Carry out assessments and observations as instructed by teachers
  • Support with reading and writing - with a focus on students with special needs.
  • As a Teaching Assistant, the students you support will vary age 11-16
  • Write progress reports for students with SEN and varied abilities

Ideal skills and requirements:

  • Math or science related degree
  • Experience working with children in any setting/ understanding of SEN
  • Experience working as a tutor
  • Enthusiastic attitude towards learning
  • Be pro-active and professional
