SEN Teaching Assistant - Hounslow - Starting September 2025

We are currently recruiting a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive secondary school in Hounslow, starting in September 2025. This is a full-time position lasting until July 2026, ideal for graduates seeking experience before training as an SEN teacher, Educational Psychologist or Speech & Language Therapist.

You'll work alongside the SENCo and wider team to support students with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, dyslexia and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working one-to-one with students with EHCPs
  • Supporting classroom participation and adapted learning tasks
  • Creating a calm and positive learning environment
  • Liaising with teachers, parents, and external professionals
  • Supporting inclusion and equality within the classroom

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a graduate (psychology or education degree preferred but not essential)
  • Have a strong interest in SEN and inclusive education
  • Show patience, resilience, and a positive attitude
  • Be willing to learn and take direction from specialist staff
