Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistants required

Veritas are currently working with a number of primary, secondary, and SEN schools cross West and South West London. These schools are looking for dedicated and resilient Graduate Teaching assistants with a psychology background to work in full time roles for the academic year to start asap and September 2025. They are looking for candidates who will be a positive influence & role model for children and young students. The position will involve supporting students at all levels in a classroom setting.
You will have experience working with children and young people, ideally within education, perhaps you may have an interest in teaching in the future. Experience or knowledge in working with young people with learning difficulties would be beneficial. You will be empathetic, resilient, and confident with behaviour management.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting students to reach their academic potential through proactive engagement.
- Encouraging active participation and a positive attitude toward learning.
- Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Assisting the teacher with general classroom support, behaviour management, and the promotion of positive behaviour strategies.
- Contributing to students' overall learning, development, and classroom progress
Key skills and experience needed:
- Recent graduate in Psychology or a related field.
- Knowledge and experience in supporting students with SEN and additional needs.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to make a positive impact in the classroom.
- Strong behaviour management; patient, resilient, and able to build strong rapport with students.
- Experience working with children or young adults is a strong advantage.
