My client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant with experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Pupil Referral Units (PRU). This is an exciting opportunity to support and inspire students who require additional support to reach their full potential.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND and those referred to PRU.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a holistic approach to learning.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils in managing emotions and behaviours, ensuring a safe and structured setting.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a committed and empathetic individual who:

  • Has experience working with children with SEND and/or within a PRU setting.
  • Is patient, adaptable, and able to build strong relationships with students.
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of behaviour management strategies.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience desirable but not essential.
