About the Role:
My client is seeking a highly motivated Fleet Coordinator to join a dynamic support team. This role is responsible for managing fleet operations, coordinating maintenance and recovery, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The Fleet Coordinator will monitor vehicle availability, handle breakdowns, track incidents, and liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide telephone support to customers and manage fleet availability in a live operational environment.

  • Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and lead recovery plans when required.

  • Investigate vehicle delays and communicate findings to customers.

  • Escalate safety incidents and operational risks appropriately.

  • Liaise with maintenance teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to coordinate repairs and routine maintenance.

  • Create and manage service jobs, purchase orders, and warranty claims.

  • Maintain accurate records of fleet activities, including job logs, costs, and service outcomes.

  • Allocate jobs to technicians and ensure completion to service standards.

  • Respond to customer queries, complaints, and compliments in a timely manner.

  • Ensure all work complies with ISO standards and internal health & safety policies.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to team performance.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience in fleet or vehicle maintenance coordination or a similar operational role.

  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Knowledge of workshop procedures, contract/commercial processes, and health & safety regulations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general IT systems.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
