Job OverviewMy clients a global well established freight forwarder based within the Heathrow area, this is a exciting brand new role! This would be a crucial role within the logistics operation, you would be overseeing 3x warehouses along with 3 warehouse managers, supervisors and warehouse operatives.

Duties

  • Ensuring the smooth running of 3 warehouses- general freight, projects and distributions.
  • Overseeing 3 warehouse managers, supervisors and warehouse operatives
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients and transportation providers.
  • Ensure compliance with CAA regulations
  • To optimise efficiency and minimize delays
  • To manage customs bonded warehouse operation
  • Monitor and create reports on performance
  • HR- monitoring sickness, arranging holiday cover, recruiting, training and monitoring staff

Skills required:

  • 8 years + previous experience in freight forwarding
  • Good knowledge of CAA legislation and compliance
  • PC literate
  • Steady work history
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Good understanding of imports and exports- all modes
  • Experience overseeing a large team/ various warehouses

Working hours:

  • Monday- Friday 0900-1730
