Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Team Teach Trained)
Location: Hounslow
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, long-term (with potential for permanent role)
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive school in Hounslow. This role is ideal for an experienced TA who is Team Teach trained and confident supporting children with a range of special educational needs, including those with challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEN, ensuring they are engaged and included in all learning activities.
- Use Team Teach de-escalation strategies effectively to maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to deliver individual education plans (IEPs).
- Support pupils both in and out of the classroom, including 1:1 and small group interventions.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes independence and confidence.
Requirements:
- Team Teach trained (essential).
- Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with behavioural needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A calm, resilient, and positive approach to working with children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
