SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary (Ages 3–11)
Location: Hounslow
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
Pay: £110 – £135 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only

We are working with a specialist SEN primary school in Hounslow, supporting pupils aged 3 to 11 with Autism (ASD), Speech & Language Needs, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD) and associated behaviours. This is a warm, nurturing setting with a strong emphasis on communication, sensory learning and emotional development.

We are seeking a confident and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.

What We Are Looking For:
  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school, nursery, or care setting
    OR a Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Support / Early Years

  • A patient, calm and encouraging approach to supporting children

  • Confidence in following structured routines and behaviour support plans

  • Team Teach / Positive Handling training is highly desirable (but not essential – training can be provided)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups within structured classroom and sensory environments

  • Assisting with communication tools such as PECS, visuals and Makaton (training provided if needed)

  • Helping pupils to regulate emotions and engage positively in learning

  • Providing support with personal care where required

  • Working closely with the class teacher and wider support team
