Description
- Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
- Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels.
- Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
- Organising files both manually and electronically.
- Monitoring and facilitating repair orders.
- Coordinating driver communications, including schedules and job assignments.
- Assisting with billing and customer service.
- Maintaining knowledge of current transport laws and regulations.
Profile
A successful Transport Administrator should have:
- A solid understanding of transport laws and regulations.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines.
- Computer literacy and good typing skills.
- An understanding of customer service principles.
