Are you an experienced logistics professional with a passion for efficiency and customer service? We’re looking for a Transport Operative to join a busy operation near Heathrow, helping to coordinate driver activity and ensure smooth, efficient freight movement across the UK.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor and support a fleet of drivers (owned and subcontracted)
- Handle inbound calls and client bookings via phone and email
- Quote nationally on loads (from small vans to full loads) using the Haulier Exchange platform
- Plan and optimise driver routes and vehicle use
- Ensure compliance with driver hours and safety regulations
- Perform driver debriefs and support onboarding and training
- Maintain excellent customer service and provide timely updates
What You’ll Need
- 3+ years’ experience in logistics or warehousing
- Solid knowledge of UK geography and manual route planning
- Strong understanding of vehicle types, load capacity, and courier operations
- Experience with Haulier Exchange (preferred)
- Familiarity with EU Driver Hours Regulations and aviation security (advantageous)
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
