We manufacture and supply sustainable building products from ground level right up to the roof ridge, from our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Howden, East Yorkshire offering our merchant customers a broad product portfolio supported by industry leading next day service.
The Role: Credit Controller
We are looking for a proactive Credit Controller to join our team. This role is vital to maintaining the financial health of the business while supporting our commitment to a next day delivery service in a fast moving environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing and updating customer master data profiles
- Processing customer payments in a timely manner
- Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies and disputes
- Building strong relationships with customers to secure timely payments
- Performing credit evaluations on new and existing customers
- Responding promptly to customer queries
- Collaborating with the customer service team to resolve issues
- Generating reports for the wider business
Requirements:
- Proven experience in credit control and/or accounts payable
- Excellent communication skills, particularly by both telephone and email
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamic Business Central (or similar ERP system) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Problem solving skills
Remuneration: Up to 35,000 per annum
Benefits: Company pension
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm
Location: Office based only
Supplemental pay types: Annual bonus
