We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Administrative Assistant to join Kirklees Council. This role involves a wide range of administrative tasks including specialist word processing, IT administration, meeting facilitation, data processing, and project work. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling confidential information and possess strong IT skills to support the effective management of office operations.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage a variety of administrative tasks including data processing, records management, and financial transactions.
  • Facilitate meetings, take minutes, and support events as directed.
  • Respond to enquiries and complaints, handle sensitive information, and produce documents to service standards.
  • Develop and maintain administrative systems, use IT tools to improve efficiencies, and ensure secure information management.
  • Specific tasks include triaging calls related to Damp, Mould, and Condensation (DMC), sending letters to residents, conducting satisfaction surveys, and managing repair jobs based on survey feedback.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in an administrative role.
  • Strong IT and word processing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Experience with financial processing and information management systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to handle enquiries sensitively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
