CNC MILLER PROGRAMMER

We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to work for our client who are located in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

Our Client are a long established Precision Engineering company that produces a wide variety of high-quality machined components that currently have an opening for a skilled CNC Miller Programmer, Setter, Operator to join our small friendly team.

We support several ‘Blue Chip’ customers across the country with their precision component requirements.

Main accountabilities:

To programme, set and operate milling machines with Fanuc or Heidenhain control.

Experience with other control systems would be considered.

Key skills:

- Previous programming, setting & operating experience producing 1 off’s & small batches in a wide range of materials, including exotics.

- Quality checking your own work using micrometres, bore mic’s, etc.

- Reading engineering drawings.

- Working to tight tolerances.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working within a high precision manufacturing background or Apprentice trained
  • Experience producing high quality one offs and small batches
  • Excellent communication skills

THE HOURS:

You will be working days 39 hours a week

Mon – Thurs: 7am – 5.15pm 

Overtime Available.

THE PAY / BENEFITS:

You will earn an hourly rate of £18 min

257 hrs holiday (includes stats)

4 day working week

Overtime when required at x1.5
