Engage Education is currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Huddersfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on pupils’ learning, development, and confidence during the crucial upper primary years.
About the Role as a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant:
As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you’ll be supporting pupils in Years 3 to 6, both inside and outside the classroom. Your role will include:
- Providing tailored support to small groups and individual pupils
- Supporting pupils with English, Maths, and other core subjects
- Assisting with behaviour management and classroom routines
- Delivering engaging learning interventions under the guidance of the class teacher
- Helping to create a stimulating learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working with KS2 children (in a school or similar setting)
- A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
- Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to adapt to different learning needs
- A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or similar)
