SEND teaching assistant required for busy Primary School in Mirfield for September start

Are you a SEND teaching assistant with experience of working with children with medical needs? If you are an SEND specialist, or have strengths being a learning support assistant for children with additional and medical needs, this is the role for you!

From September, a Mirfield Primary school is looking for a learning support assistant to work 1:1 with a girl in Year 1 with multiple needs.

Day to day for this SEND teaching assistant role:

  • Supporting with moving safely around school
  • Supporting child with her personalised learning
  • Early phonics sessions (training will be given)
  • Administrating medication (training will be given)
  • Emotional support and good at forming positive relationships
  • Some personal care

As a SEND support assistant you will show strong pastoral and emotional support for your pupil, as well as being vigilant to their cues and needs which will mean being able to think on the spot and being flexible with her timetable. The pupil will require some medical administration and personal care.
