An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Huddersfield.This role is ideally suited to someone who is hands-on and passionate about continuous improvement, with the ambition to progress into a Team Leader or Maintenance Manager position within 18 months.Monday to Friday - Days role - Early finish on a fridaySalary - Upto £42,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide range of electrical and mechanical production equipment.
  • Minimise downtime through prompt response to breakdowns and effective fault-finding.
  • Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Support production teams by ensuring equipment is safe, operational, and fit for purpose.
  • Participate in and contribute to maintenance planning, stock management for critical spares, and site upkeep.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers or apprentices as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with senior management and contribute to site-wide improvements.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance engineering in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Knowledge of health & safety legislation and compliance procedures.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the drive to take ownership and grow into a leadership role.
  • Desire to step into a team leadership role in the near future (progression plan in place).
