Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Temp to Perm

Location: Huddersfield
Salary: £39,000 per annum
Shifts: Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:00pm

ATA Recruitment is partnering with a well-established UK manufacturer to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for their state-of-the-art production site in Huddersfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to work hands-on with high-speed bottling and packaging lines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems including 3-phase motors, drives, and sensors
  • Execute line changeovers for different bottle sizes and packaging configurations
  • Support facility systems: 230V lighting, PAT testing, and emergency lighting inspections
  • Perform reactive and planned maintenance to minimise downtime
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet output targets

What We're Looking For

  • Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Proven industrial maintenance experience – ideally in FMCG, food, or beverage sectors
  • Confident working with electrical schematics, facility wiring, and control systems
  • Hands-on, proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a lean team environment
