My client is a small Financial Planning firm, bringing together decades of experience in financial planning and advice, supported by specialists in investment, tax, pensions, wills, trusts and more.

We are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join existing teams within our Huddersfield offices, supporting 2 Key Financial Advisers. You will be responsible for the delivery of written advice / reports, you will provide technical support to Advisers of the firm, ensuring all recommendations are accurate and in line with the needs of the clients.

You will specifically:

  • Provide relevant advice and compliantly via suitability letters and reports, maintaining agreed productivity levels
  • Ensure all output including suitability reports meet the minimum compliance standards as set out by the company
  • Undertake and fully document product and fund research
  • Obtain up to date information from providers (valuations, withdrawals, charges, transaction histories, etc.)
  • Obtain forms and documentation (transfer, fund switch, tax free cash, etc.)
  • Set up clients/create expectations with product providers
  • Sourcing fund fact sheets & KIIDs
  • Create and issue Letters of Authority
  • Ensure fees, costs and charges are being collected correctly, where appropriate
  • Scan, package and issue reports
  • Accelerate completion of case work deemed urgent.
  • Obtain Illustrations, fund fact sheets, KIIDs documents and all related Compliance documentation
  • Ensure that recommendations are summarised accurately to minimise the risk of execution errors
  • Maintain CRM software and any document management systems
  • Other duties as required and requested to ensure the smooth running of the company as a whole.

We are seeking a experienced (2+ years) Diploma qualified Paraplanner (or very close to Diploma qualification with experience), with strong research and analytical skills, with a working knowledge of Financial Planning products including Life Insurance, Personal Pensions and Investments. You will have the ability to work in a small team and willingness to speak directly to clients. It would be to your advantage if you have any experience of systems such as Intelligent Office, FE Analytics or Voyant, or similar.
