This is a great opportunity to put your stamp on a business and provide a strong team ethic.The RoleThe Head of Quality is responsible for  Health & Safety, Environment, Quality, Trade, Export, Product Compliance and Special Processes. You will represent external, concerned parties within the business (Customer, Community, Certifying Bodies and Government) and are responsible for ensuring the business is compliant with their requirements. Responsible for Environmental, Social and Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility programmes.The Head of Quality provides a key facilitation role between departments to support the business in reduction of accidents, environmental hazards, cost of poor quality and prevention of trade and export escapes. Create and implement a best practice SHEQ and Compliance vision, strategy, policies, processes and proceduresto meet business objectives and operational needs and improve business performance. Assist with CI improvement activities to ensure problems are prevented and customer requirements are met with problems being resolved effectively and economically. Ensure special processes are performed, managed and monitored in line with NADCAP requirementsThe personThe successful person will have considerable experience leading a quality function, with a proven track record in strategic quality leadership delivering effectivequality strategies, policies, processes and systems.Experience of working / managing the AS9100 quality management system would be beneficial.Proven project management and quality experience, including statistical process control.Experience of operating and influencing at a strategic level.Formulating strategies and concepts.Applying expertise and technology.Adapting and responding to change.Degree in Engineering, Quality or equivalent.It would be desirable to have experience in leading EHS, Special Process and Compliance activities as well as leading continuous improvement activities usingindustry standard toolsets.SalaryCompetitive salary and benefits.
