Taskmaster Resources Ltd are looking for a catering assistant to work in a college setting in Huddersfield, HD2
Applicants must have professional catering experience. This could be from a school, the NHS, a café or restaurant kitchen or a fast food setting. Will be required to use a cashless till, so must be confident when speaking to students aged 16-18
Must have level 2 food hygiene certificate and must be a good all round team player, happy to help support the unit manager. Must also have DBS.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Service:
- Use a cashless till for transactions.
- Serve food to students and staff in an efficient and friendly manner.
Food Hygiene & Safety:
- Ensure food is prepared and handled according to health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and service areas.
Teamwork:
- Work alongside the unit manager and other team members, supporting as needed.
- Maintain a positive, cooperative approach to all tasks and colleagues.
Requirements:
Experience:
- Professional catering experience (e.g., in a school, NHS, café, restaurant, or fast food setting).
Skills:
- Confidence in using a cashless till system.
- Good communication skills for interacting with students aged 16-18.
- Ability to work as part of a team and support the unit manager.
Certifications:
- Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate is required.
- DBS check required.
This is a term-time only role offering an immediate start for candidates with professional catering experience and a strong team-oriented mindset.
