Temporary Works Coordinator
12-month rolling contract
Located in Huddersfield
£400 - £475 per day - Umbrella PAYE
VGC are currently recruiting for numerous contractors to join the Temporary Works team, this is working for a major tier one contractor and working on one of the UK's biggest rail projects in the Huddersfield area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process the design briefs and ensure all the required information is passed on to the Designers.
- Check the implementation and maintenance of the works.
- Ensure TW documentation is adequately maintained within the site management systems.
- Register or record the drawings, calculations and other relevant documents relating to the final design.
- Attending meetings with the site team to determine most suitable construction methodology and solution.
- Ensure the successful demobilisation of the temporary works.
- Ensure fully TW control including permits to load.
- Evaluate and appoint TW Supervisors.
- Attend regular Temporary Works design review meetings to monitor progress on the designs to ensure they will be available for use when the site team needs them.
- Ensure that those responsible for on-site supervision/construction receive full design details with significant risks and design limitations are highlighted.
- Attend regular Temporary Works Co-ordinator meetings to gain an overview on what work is ongoing on the project and be able to assist in other work areas if required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Worked with/for Tier 1 contractors.
- Previously worked in Temporary Works positions.
- Civil engineering / background and looking to join the temporary works team.
- Previous rail experience is a preference.
- Have sufficient knowledge and experience to liaise with the designers.
- CSCS
- Civil/Structural Engineering qualification preferred.
- CRE C status would be beneficial and could be suitable for a Lead TWC role.
