Payroll Assistant (Part time or full time hours available)

Salary: up to 30,000

12-15 month contract

Job Summary

Portfolio Payroll are currently working with a large accountancy practice in the Huddersfield area who are currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join their team. Working for an established business, the client is looking for someone with bureau/client payroll experience to cover a period of maternity cover.

Reporting into the payroll manager you will be responsible for processing a high-volume payroll across various frequencies as part of a team.

The role is 24 hours a week at a minimum with great flexitime around start and finish time. The client also offers an early finish on a Friday.

  • Office based role - working from the Huddersfield office

Desirable skills and attributes:

  • Running Payroll
  • Resolving errors
  • Running multiple payrolls
  • Deductions - Tax/NI
  • Autoenrollment
  • Queries via email and telephone
  • Processing SSP/SMP/SPP
  • Manual calculations
  • Payroll experience in a client payroll environment
  • Strong Excel skills are useful
