Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for flexible work in Huddersfield? We are seeking dedicated and passionate HLTAs to join our team and support schools across the area on a supply basis.

About the role:

  • Support teaching and learning across different key stages.
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher.
  • You may also be required to plan your own lessons due to unplanned absences.
  • Work with small groups and individual pupils to support progress.
  • Assist in classroom management and behaviour support.
  • Adapt to different school settings, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification
  • Experience working in primary or secondary school settings.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Have the ability to motivate and encourage pupils to achieve their potential.
  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
