Telecom Systems Engineer
20% Field based role with remainder office based near Huddersfield
Context Recruitment are excited to offer an opportunity to join a leading IT service provider as a Telecom Systems Engineer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the installation, configuring and maintenance of telephony systems for clients. Your expertise will ensure seamless communication services and optimal performance.
This privately-owned IT service provider is a business of the year winner and have an excellent reputation for providing a broad range of products and services across Telephony, Data Connectivity & Mobile to both direct and indirect customers.
Key responsibilities:
- Install, configure and troubleshoot hosted telephony and telecom equipment including switches, routers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of telecom systems
- Perform routine maintenance, upgrades and repairs on field equipment
- Test and validate telephony installations to meet quality standards
- Respond promptly to service requests and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Conduct network testing and performance evaluations
- Provide technical support to clients and end-users
- Document all field activities, including site visits, equipment installations and maintenance tasks
Required skillset:
- Knowledge of hosted telephony systems, protocols and standards
- Previous telephony installation experience required. (Flexible on vendor experience; Zillion, NFON, 8x8, Mitel, Avaya, 3CX - training given)
- Relevant qualifications such as CCNA are advantageous
- Cisco Meraki experience is desirable
- Must be confident with client interaction
Please note, this predominantly a field based role therefore, full driving license is required.
Up to £32k DoE + 6k Car Allowance and Mileage
