An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and organised Fleet & Maintenance Coordinator to join a busy and fast-paced team environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating all vehicle and asset maintenance activities, ensuring full compliance with legal and safety standards, and supporting day-to-day operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage maintenance schedules for vehicles, trailers, and equipment, including PMIs, MOTs, LOLER testing, brake tests, and other statutory inspections.

  • Ensure full compliance with all DVSA, operator licence, and manufacturer requirements.

  • Process maintenance documentation accurately and keep internal systems updated.

  • Coordinate breakdowns, repairs, and servicing with approved suppliers, ensuring minimal downtime.

  • Raise purchase orders, authorise repairs, and monitor costs against agreed budgets.

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate fleet records for compliance visibility.

  • Monitor supplier performance, ensuring service levels and response times are achieved.

  • Deliver excellent customer service, resolving issues quickly and professionally.

  • Support continuous improvement in fleet maintenance and compliance processes.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.

  • Experience coordinating service or maintenance schedules, ideally within automotive, logistics, plant hire, or transport sectors.

  • Confident handling compliance systems, data, and maintenance documentation.

  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

  • Able to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities effectively.

  • Good understanding of vehicle or HGV maintenance terminology.

  • Previous experience within a transport, hire, or engineering environment preferred.
